So, we meet again!

Today has been a really warm day, over 30 degrees but not sunny so it's been kinda perfect actually. I've spent some time in the city, had a meeting with a bar dude so tonight I'm going for a trial session to be a bartender there! Fingers crossed. After that I was so happy, I made dinner for Emma! Not for Matilda..

Right now I'm just chilling in the apartment, it's so nice to be able to just do nothing. Of course I miss the hostel a bit, where you always had someone to hang out with, where you could play pool or if you wanted to drink, you could always find some mates playing ring of fire. But I couldn't be happier with our new place, located in the middle of the city, super cheap, and with an amazing rooftop!

Now, I'm gonna close my eyes for a bit before I start at 8pm!

Hello everybody:)

Long time since we wrote anything because we didn't have wifi at the hostel we were staying at. Now that we've moved in to our new apartment I promised mom to start it up again so here we go.

We have had a really good time at flinders hostel where we stayed for around 4 weeks. Met a lot of new people and friends from all over the world that I'll miss. Our new apartment is just like 5 minutes away from the hostel though so it's easy to keep in touch.

Random things that have happened since last time we wrote:
-got some jobs
-I burned my face off (:-() but now I have new baby skin on my face so that's nice
-Olivia came in fourth place of about 30 contestants in killer pool!
- we've played funky trivia at joint bar and last Monday we finally didn't come in last place
-went to melbourne zoo with some Canadian dudes
-eaten a LOT of pesto pasta. So frikkin good

Yeah and obviously much more! Yesterday we spend the whole day on the beach and I only burned my super sensitive face a little! We also saw a jelly fish which was really cool! We were a little scared though so we had to ask some Australian guys if it was dangerous. They didn't know... In the evening we had our first dinner in the apartment (pesto pasta) and went to the killer pool contest at joint bar as usual. I came in last place, that was so sad. Then we went to a bar called Asian beer cafe where they show sailor moon on tv. Really random but it's a fun bar!

Today I'm not feeling very good, soar throat and head ache so I'll probably just chill in bed all day. Maybe go see last part of hunger games in the cinema if Matilda's not working.. Well well. Tomorrow we're going to IKEA to buy some things for the apartment (but I'm mostly looking forward to the hot dogs :p). Peace out ppl

Have had an awesome first week in Australia, loved the language exchange we went to this Wednesday and yesterday we went to a really fun club where we danced all night. We will definitely go back to that club because they played the best music eeever.
Today we're having BBQ for dinner and then just chilling at Tess's.

One of the Japanese guys I met at the exchange happened to be at the same club as us yesterday. Fun times.

Hola amigos!

Yesterday we had a great day. We were thinking about going sightseeing but when we woke up, it was raining. So we just chilled and took it easy, it felt very necessery cause we have been doing so much this past days and slept so bad.

In the afternoon it stopped raining so i went out for my first run here in Australia. And omg it was like no oxygen in the air! I was litterally about to pass out. It will take spme practise to get used to that..

After that we started to gt ready and then we went into the city to get some dinner before we went to this European club that had a "language exchange" night. So we all got flags on our shirts with the languages we spoke. It was so fun, met people from all over the world. Matilda was so happy, she got to speak a lot of Japanease. Me and olivia had to stick to english though.. Anyways, we had the best night and we're probably going back there next week.

Today we were supposed to just go and get some groceries but we ended up shopping some things as well.. But its hard to restrain yourself when its so crazy cheap! I bought a pair of shoes for 15 dollars (around 80kr)!

Right now Matilda is bleaching her hair and later we're going to have tacos for dinner and then we're going to party like there's no tomorrow. Apparently thursdays is the shit over here.

So today we ran some errands in the city, starting up bankaccounts, getting our medicares and bokning a hostel for next week. We chose Flinders Backpackers, a hostel right in the heart of Melbourne. It seemed really nice and the guy in the reception actually spoke some swedish! Felt like home right away.

Just had dinner on the porch, made hamburgers but they didn't taste as good as swedish ones.. Oh well.

Ohoy!

Today it was really hot outside so we spend all day by Tess' pool. Got a nice tan even though we had to use 50+ sunscreen. The sun is so strong here!!

Tonight we're just going to chill I think. We're still sooo jetlagged, woke up like 3am this morning so we're really tired..

Tomorrow we're going in to the city again to get our medicare, bank accounts and tax file numbers so we can start looking for jobs. We've already met like 2 guys who said they can get is jobs so we feel kinda positive about job searching. Also going to look for costumes cause we're going to a costume party saturday! So excited!

Ey yo Machi here! I haven't had time/energy to write yet but don't worry, I'll try harder from now on.
Australia's been great so far, Jess and Tess (girls I met in Japan) have been showing us Melbourne and now the jet lag is almost gone cause we've stayed up late every night lol.

Took weird pictures in the center of Melbourne today and had Korean bbq for dinner, so nice to have kimchi back in my life.
